Giuliano Apadula focuses his practice on evaluating, managing, and mitigating environmental risks for the acquisition, sale, development, and financing of real estate and businesses nationwide. He employs a pragmatic approach in counseling clients on environmental issues in practical business terms by evaluating the impact of each issue and ultimately crafting bespoke approaches to economically address those issues. Specifically, Giuliano provides multipronged strategies that include the structuring, negotiating, and manuscripting of specialty lines insurance products and contractual solutions to manage large-scale environmental risks. He negotiates the placement of equity and debt financing for projects that would otherwise struggle because of onerous contractual obligations or environmental liabilities. In his work, he helps clients address environmental obstacles in merger and acquisition transactions.

Giuliano routinely negotiates and drafts significant environmental insurance programs and numerous complex agreements that form the basis of the risk transfer process – such as liability transfer agreements, guaranteed fixed price remediation contracts, stock purchase agreements, purchase and sale agreements, and more. His clients include private equity companies, manufacturing businesses, and real estate developers, with engagements that involve not only traditional corporate and real estate transactions, but also specialty transactions such as the redevelopment of landfills, military bases, and environmentally high-risk businesses and facilities.

His value-add environmental practice centers on practical efficiency, with the goal of helping clients resuscitate deals on the verge of collapse due to environmental impediments.
