Todd helps technology companies protect and commercialize their innovations across a wide range of industries including software, robotics, autonomous vehicles, and medical devices.

In particular, his practice offers technology companies and investors a full suite of IP-related legal services including securing patent and trademark registrations, negotiating technology development agreements and software licenses (including SaaS), performing freedom-to-operate assessments for new products, and helping clients navigate intellectual property disputes. He also represents investors and companies in various technology transactions and M&A deals.

Todd draws on several years of tech industry experience to deliver practical, business-oriented strategies and solutions to his clients. Prior to becoming an attorney, Todd was an engineer at Bell Helicopter Textron where he co-authored a software program to automate complex rotorcraft design processes, providing the company with unprecedented speed and flexibility during the conceptual design phase. He also helped develop electro-mechanical control systems for military drones at Smiths Aerospace during his undergraduate studies at Georgia Tech, and clerked at St. Jude Medical’s Neuromodulation Division during law school.
