Ana C. Montalbán, Co-Chair of Greenberg Traurig's Somos GT Affinity Group, is a practical, solutions-driven lawyer. She counsels clients on diverse public finance matters, including traditional municipal finance, infrastructure finance, multifamily housing and other private activity bond financings.
She serves as counsel to investment banking firms, private investors, municipalities, issuers, credit enhancers, bond purchasers and other lender entities in connection with public and private financings throughout the country. She also represents nonprofit organizations, including hospitals and other health care organizations and universities, colleges and schools.
Ana advises on transactions involving the structuring and restructuring, issuance, offering, placement and remarketing of tax-exempt and taxable securities and other debt instruments. She maintains a focus on disclosure matters and securities regulatory compliance. Over the past few years, Ana has seen a growth in her local practice in Philadelphia and in public finance matters specific to Pennsylvania. Ana also is experienced in transportation and infrastructure financings, including project financings and airport, highway, bridge and high-speed rail financings. In recent years, she has also concentrated her practice on real estate based lending, asset securitizations, 144A offerings and other derivative transactions, including interest rate swaps and other synthetic securities. Ana is active in the Latino community, often representing individuals in immigration matters on a pro bono basis.
