Greenberg Traurig Elevates 3 Attorneys in its Washington, D.C. Office

WASHINGTON, D.C. - Feb. 22, 2022 – Global law firm Greenberg Traurig, LLP has announced the elevation of Michael Pusateri to shareholder and Juliana Laurello and Melissa Prusock to of counsel in its Washington, D.C. office.

Firmwide, 60 new shareholders work across the globe in six countries, 25 offices and in 11 primary practice areas. The 36 attorneys elevated to of counsel and local partner serve clients from 18 offices in five countries and practice in 11 primary areas of law.

  • Pusateri focuses his practice on defending national and international companies and individuals in state, federal, and administrative tribunals across the country. He has represented the mining and insurance industries in rulemaking proceedings, regulatory challenges, adjudications, and appeals before the Department of Labor and other agencies and Federal Circuit Courts of Appeals. He has a diverse civil practice where he has defended corporations and individuals in the food, pharmaceutical, publishing, energy, and financial services sector. In addition, he has advised clients in all stages of criminal and civil investigations – from the issuance of subpoenas through trial and appellate proceedings.
  • Laurello represents domestic and international clients in a broad range of litigation and commercial matters. As a cross-border litigator, she has advised on a variety of issues relating to international dispute resolution (including issues relating to foreign sovereign immunity) and complex commercial litigation. She has broad experience negotiating and drafting contracts for international clients, and routinely advises and advocates on behalf of foreign governments on national security policy and foreign affairs issues involving Congress and the administration. Laurello also routinely counsels clients on matters relating to the Foreign Agents Registration Act (FARA).
  • Prusock focuses her practice on litigation, counseling, and investigations related to government contracts and grants. She advises clients on a variety of matters involving government contracting and federal programs, including audits and investigations, suspension and debarment, claims and disputes, and bid protests. Prusock regularly represents clients in connection with investigations (including False Claims Act investigations) by the Department of Justice and various offices of Inspectors General. Prusock also provides strategic advice to federal award recipients, on compliance with the Uniform Guidance and other requirements, and represents clients in government contracts-related litigation.
