Greenberg Traurig’s Mathew Rosengart Receives Multiple Honors; Introduced by Former US Supreme Court Justice David H. Souter

LOS ANGELES – Sept. 21, 2022 – Global law firm Greenberg Traurig, LLP Shareholder Mathew S. Rosengart was named to the Daily Journal’s 2022 Top 100 Lawyers list. In addition, the Beverly Hills Bar Association (BHBA) is honoring Rosengart with the Excellence in Advocacy Award at its 10th Annual Litigation Dinner Sept. 21 at The Maybourne Beverly Hills hotel.

“The Beverly Hills Bar Association is pleased to recognize Mathew S. Rosengart and Judge David J. Cowan for their far-reaching impact in our legal profession,” BHBA President Anthony D. Ross said in a statement. “They are dedicated advocates of fairness and equal access to justice.” This prestigious award honors a litigator whose case successes are a direct result of exemplary legal skills, unique trial strategy, and courtroom teamwork, and who also gives back to the community, according to the BHBA. Retired Supreme Court Justice David H. Souter, for whom Rosengart clerked on the Supreme Court of New Hampshire and who has lauded Rosengart’s intellect, instinct, and personal integrity, is scheduled to introduce him at the dinner.

The Daily Journal honor was conferred on Rosengart in addition to his recent recognition by the publication as a California Lawyer of the Year. A former federal prosecutor, Rosengart has served as lead counsel in numerous cases of national and international significance for A-list Hollywood talent and corporations ranging from Verizon to Facebook. He has received numerous accolades throughout his career, including being named a Law360 Media & Entertainment MVP; a Leader of Influence and Top Litigator by the Los Angeles Business Journal, which recognized him as “one of the nation’s preeminent litigators” who is a “go to litigator for Hollywood’s elite and Corporate America”; a Sports & Entertainment Law Trailblazer by The National Law Journal; and Litigator of the Week by The American Lawyer. He also received Variety’s Power of Law Award for excellence and philanthropy and is perennially recognized in both Variety and The Hollywood Reporter’s annual Legal Impact and Power Lawyer Reports, which recognize the nation’s leading lawyers in media and entertainment. He presented this year’s Dean’s Distinguished Lecture at Boston College Law School, spoke at Harvard Law School, and for his body of work was nominated to receive this year’s Praeses Elit Award from Trinity University of Dublin’s Law Society.
