NEW YORK – Aug. 21, 2026 – Global law firm Greenberg Traurig, LLP is representing Marquee Brands, an affiliate of Neuberger, in connection with Marquee Brands' take-private acquisition through its strategic operating partner, of Roots Corporation (TSX: ROOT). As part of the transaction, Marquee Brands has partnered with JM&A Design and Development (JM&A), led by Canadian retail experts Joseph Mimran and Frank Rocchetti. JM&A will serve as core operating partner of Roots while Marquee Brands will focus on global brand stewardship and expansion, as well as new category development. The deal is expected to close in the fourth quarter of 2026. Upon closing, it will bring Marquee Brands’ portfolio to 24 brands.
