  • Manages the global trademark portfolios for clients in apparel, hunting and outdoor sporting goods, and pharmaceuticals, among other industries.
  • Enforces and defends trademark rights for numerous clients at the Trademark Trial and Appeal Board and in federal district court, in a variety of proceedings, including oppositions, cancellations, declaratory judgment actions, and trademark infringement lawsuits.
  • Prosecutes trademark applications at the United States Patent and Trademark Office, often prevailing over initial refusals to register on grounds of descriptiveness, likelihood of confusion, or failure to function as a mark.
  • Regularly guest lectures at Mitchell Hamline School of Law and speaks to local, regional, and national audiences on topics in trademark law and the practice of law.
