NEW YORK (Jan. 9, 2014) -- The international law firm Greenberg Traurig, LLP was among the winning deal teams recognized at the 12th Annual M&A Advisor Awards. The firm received awards in three categories: M&A Deal of the Year (Over $200mm to $500mm) and Corporate/Strategic Acquisition of the Year (Over $250mm to $1 Billion) for its role in the merger of Azteca, Cine Latino, Inc., InterMedia Espanol Holdings, LLC with Hemisphere Media Group, Inc. and Healthcare/Life Sciences (Over $50mm to $100mm) for its role in the Resolute Anesthesia and Pain Solutions, LLC formation by a Recapitalization Sponsored by Goldman Sachs & Co. The awards ceremony was held at The New York Athletic Club in New York City. According to the M&A Advisor website, these awards honored the leading deal teams, dealmakers and firms whose “activities set the standard for transactions.”
Greenberg Traurig deals were also selected as finalists for Cross-Border Deal of the Year (UP TO $500mm); Technology, Media, Telecom (Over $100mm to $500mm); M&A Deal of the Year (Over $50mm to $75mm); Restructuring Deal of the Year (Over $100mm); Equity Financing Deal of the Year; Energy; Consumer and Retail Products (Over $100mm).
In addition to awarding deal teams, the ceremony honored inductees to the M&A Advisor’s Hall of Fame.
